Sustainability on Display at Danubius Gastro
From April 11 to 14, 2024, the Danubius Gastro fair served as a stage to highlight the excellence of Slovak food and wine. The event, held at the Incheba Expo Center in Bratislava, welcomed over 30,000 attendees. Its goal was to connect producers, distributors, and food enthusiasts from across the country. We participated to showcase the high quality, rich tradition, and sustainability of our products, emphasizing their positive impact on the environment.
An Impressive Setup
We meticulously designed a stand to highlight the visual elements of our program, with a TV screen showcasing related content emphasizing the eco-friendly aspect of our goods and a live display of our partners’ products. The setup was carefully crafted to engage our main audience, including people aged 18 to 55 and industry professionals.
In addition, Richard Takáč, Minister of Agriculture, and First State Secretary Vladimír Vnuk stopped by our stand and we had the opportunity to discuss the importance of sustainability in the food industry.
Engaging Visitors Through Tasting and Dialogue
The heart of the stand was its interactive tasting experience. Two professional sommeliers offered wine pairings, while event hostesses presented local foods, answered questions, and shared the story of our sustainable practices. Every visitor who stopped by was greeted with a tasting menu, sparking conversations about the origins, quality, and environmental benefits of our products.
Many visitors were surprised to discover they had been buying these products without realizing their exceptional quality and sustainability. For them, and those unfamiliar with where to find our products, we provided leaflets packed with all the key details.
Nevertheless, the objective of our participation extended beyond showcasing great taste. We aimed to educate visitors about the positive environmental and social impacts of sustainable food production.
A Networking Opportunity
The fair also provided a valuable platform for networking with key industry professionals, including importers, distributors, and buyers. These individuals play a pivotal role in expanding markets and influencing communication strategies. By engaging them in conversations about the quality and sustainability of our offerings, we built relationships that could drive meaningful change in the industry.

As the fair concluded, our stand had not only attracted thousands of visitors but also left them with a deeper understanding of the importance of sustainable practices. From the food and wine tastings to the engaging conversations, every moment was an opportunity to inspire thoughtful choices that benefit both people and the planet.
